POCO
Some clients just get it. POCO was one of them.
Over the course of several years, we had the real pleasure of working with POCO Einrichtungsmärkte on a series of stop-motion commercials — and it’s the kind of client relationship you dream about. They trusted us, gave us room to be creative, and let us do what we love most: build tiny worlds by hand and bring them to life, frame by frame.
The result? A whole bunch of charming little spots that we’re genuinely proud of.
A Bunch of Spots, a Lot of Love
It started with a series of animated 20-second commercials — Arne directing, building the puppets, and animating them. Yes, all of that. That’s just how we roll (or how Arne rolls, while Louis handles the producing side of things and makes sure nobody runs out of coffee).
The spots have that warm, handmade quality that stop-motion does better than anything else — the kind of thing you notice out of the corner of your eye and think, wait, what was that? before rewinding. That’s the goal. That’s the magic.
The Black Deals Spot
One of the most recent and most involved productions was the POCO Black Deals TV spot, which we shot over three days in our studio space in Munich. Three days on set sounds short — but it came after many days of preparation, building, painting, and problem-solving.

Every set was built by hand, every frame was shot with intention, and the whole thing came together into something that feels genuinely special — cozy, a little playful, and unmistakably POCO.
Why This Kind of Work Matters to Us
The POCO collaborations are a great example of what we hope Firlefanz Films can be for the right clients: a creative partner that brings real craft and personality to commercial work. Stop-motion isn’t the fastest or cheapest route — but when a client believes in the approach and gives you the trust to execute it properly, the results speak for themselves.
